Learn more about transit services and road improvement projects in your community, and pick up some swag while you're at there. YRT system maps, York Region cycling maps and foldable paper buses will also be available.

Mobility On-Request Paratransit is updating their ride booking system

Mobility On-Request (MOR) Paratransit will be updating their ride booking system from March 15 to 22, 2025. During this period, the Automated Phone Line (IVR), YRT Ride OnDemand app and Ride On-Demand Booking System will be unavailable. To schedule a trip during this time, please call 1-866-744-1119. 

As part of the update, you will receive a new Rider Identification (ID) number. Your new ID number is included in the Spring edition of the MOR Newsletter which you should receive by the end of March...

Plan your whole trip, including On-Request with the Transit App!

Trip planning will be easier in January 2025! Soon you will be able to plan your entire trip, including the On-Request portions through the Transit App.

How will this new feature work?

Put your starting address and destination in the Transit app and it will find the best route for you, using bus routes and On-Request services. If your trip includes On-Request, there is now a direct link in the Transit App that will take you to the YRT On-Request app to book your trip.

Debit and Credit will no longer be accepted at ticket vending machines

Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) allow travellers to purchase single fare tickets at terminals and vivastations throughout York Region. As of January 1, 2025, we will only accept exact cash payments at TVMs. Credit and debit cards will no longer be accepted as payment options at TVMs, however, you may continue to pay your fare using your credit or debit card at the PRESTO machines. For more information, please visit our Credit and Debit Card page.
