Effective Tuesday, September 5, 2023, travellers on all 300-series YRT Express routes will be saving more money. The fare supplement of 50 cents on all Express routes will be removed.

Starting September 5, travellers will pay regular fare on all 300-series YRT routes, which include:

  • 300 – Business Express
  • 301 – Markham Express
  • 302 – Unionville Express
  • 303 – Bur Oak Express
  • 304 – Mount Joy Express
  • 305 – Box Grove Express
  • 361 – Nashville Express

This will help simplify fare options and allow cost savings for travellers.

Customers who typically purchase Express monthly passes may purchase regular monthly passes instead. See fare chart below effective September 3, 2023. Visit our Fare Chart page for more information.

How much money will customers save?

Travellers using the following YRT routes will see a $0.50 savings per trip with the removal of the Express fare supplement: 

  • 300 – Business Express

For customers who do not use Express routes, will they still see savings?

Travellers that do not use Express routes will not experience a difference in their fares on regular YRT or Viva routes, or Mobility On-Request including Paratransit.
